Sway Aquaculture is a West Pacific company founded in early 2020 to achieve intelligent and sustainable mass-scale farming of methane-reducing seaweed for cattle. Reducing the rate of climate change is a serious issue that must be addressed immediately, and Sway Aquaculture is committed to developing a cost-effective and scaleable solution.

Brandon is passionate about the crucial role of aquaculture in climate change mitigation, and co-founded Sway with the grand vision of building a large-scale sustainable seaweed farming operation in South-East Asia. He studied international business and Chinese at the Australian National University, becoming keenly interested in corporate strategy and supply chain management. An entrepreneur by heart and an all-rounder in business, he utilises his past experience in the venture capital scene to build and improve Sway, having recognised the strengths and weaknesses of many startups.

Lucas has valuable experience within the emerging New Zealand seaweed industry and within a range of executive Government roles. He brings a wealth of knowledge on seaweed harvesting and processing techniques and is passionate about the role which seaweed will play in combatting climate change, in developing life changing medicines, and improving the world's food security. Lucas has developed an extensive network within the New Zealand Government, scientific community, and aquaculture industry.

Dr. Anicia Q. Hurtado
Scientific Advisor

Dr. Hurtado is the leading seaweed scientist of the Philippines, with a career spanning over 40 years and 132 published journal articles. She has been a key figure in the development of the Philippine seaweed industry in recent decades, and is now helping Sway to build an impactful farming operation that not only reduces greenhouse gasses, but also provides many economic opportunities for the people of the Philippines.

Alaeddine Aichouch
CTO

Alaeddine is an expert aquaculture production manager with a Master of Aquaculture from the Tunisian Higher Institute for Fisheries and Aquaculture. He brings years of multi-disciplinary experience in several species, emerging technology, and commercialisation. Issues such as climate change, ocean pollution, and overfishing are of deep concern, and his passion guides him to promote sustainable best practice in aquaculture.

Noel is a highly distinguished figure in the Philippine aquaculture industry, currently serving as the President of the Seaweed Industry Association of the Philippines. With decades of experience in red seaweed, Noel utilises his powerful knowledge and networks to achieve success.
